Okay, so it's been a minute since I've posted.. So much for trying for once a week or once a fortnight, but Uni ramped up, placement happened, I got sick, a million assignments... It's definitely the pointy end of the semester!
BUT
Today I left my unit (I know right?!) and went on a Colour Fun Run organised by Residential Services for R U OK Day.
First off we were put into teams based on our colleges, given a coloured headband and sent to the first task.
1. Spin with our forehead on a dowel pole 10x then run to a pool filled with ice water and FULLY submerge.
2. run through the coloured flags and get dyed.
3. run to a tire flip station, one person flips, then holds it upright so the next person can crawl through, then they flip and so on until the tire got to the other cone.
4. mud crawl with a cargo net on top to ensure we were actually down in it, then more colour!
5. run to the next station, carrying weighted objects running down about 20 mtrs and back up (still covered in slippery mud)
6. run to some trees which had rope set up, one person blindfolded, one person guided. A clip was placed over the rope and the blindfolded individual had to make their way from one side to the other.
7. run to a balance station, one person was again blindfolded and had to balance along a small windy beam, guided by a friend.
8. run to the next station, the entire team had to be on wooden blocks and slowly make their way from one end of the field to the other (about 20 mtrs at a guess) wooden planks were maybe 8inches long..
9. run to the next station, throwing a spikey ball into a rubbish bin
10. run to the final station, eat a whole dry wheetbix
11. run through the flags and get pelted with colour!
I don't have any photos, yet. But when I get them I will be sure to post in all their muddy colour-y glory.
Until my next adventure,
Alexandra
